A massive redevelopment project is currently underway at a fast pace with the goal of transforming the Assam State Zoo into a world-class wildlife tourism destination. Official sources have stated that a total of Rs 340 crore will be spent on this comprehensive project. This step has been taken to make the state's tourism sector more attractive.
Under this new plan, several modern amenities and attractions will be added to the zoo for tourists. Among these, a massive bird aviary and a special toy train for children and visitors will be particularly attractive. All these measures will completely change the experience of visiting the zoo.
